About us

Medical knowledge in Arabic you can trust

Tabibuk is a free medical knowledge platform for Arabic speakers. Every article is reviewed by a named, certified doctor, and the platform brings together reliable information, practical medical tools and qualified doctors — for Arabic speakers wherever they live.

Our mission

“A doctor-verified Arabic medical knowledge platform that connects trusted health information, practical medical tools, and qualified doctors worldwide.”

More than 400 million people speak Arabic — in the Gulf, the Levant, Egypt and North Africa, and across the diaspora from Ireland and the UK to Canada and Australia. We want every one of them to find an accurate health answer in their own language, written in a way they understand, and reviewed by a doctor they can identify.

Why Tabibuk?

Search for any symptom in Arabic and you will find plenty of content — but little of it tells you who wrote or reviewed it.

No clear author

Much Arabic health content names neither its writer nor its reviewer, so readers cannot judge its accuracy.

Literal translation

Machine translations from English lose medical precision — and sometimes change the meaning of doses and warnings.

Advice that ignores our lives

Guidance that ignores Ramadan fasting, Arab food, hot climates and the reality of living abroad.

What we do instead

  • Every article names the doctor who reviewed it, with credentials and country.
  • A bilingual doctor checks that the Arabic matches the source exactly.
  • Content that respects Ramadan, halal food, the Arab diet and life abroad.
  • Completely free — articles and tools — with no sign-up.

Our editorial policy: the two-signature model

No article is published until two doctors sign it off: one confirms the medical accuracy, the other confirms the Arabic says exactly what the source says.

  1. 1

    Writing and research

Each article is based on current clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed sources, listed at the end.

  2. 2

    Medical sign-off

A specialist doctor reviews the medical accuracy paragraph by paragraph and approves, requests changes or rejects.

  3. 3

    Language sign-off

A bilingual doctor compares the Arabic and English side by side to check terminology, doses and warnings.

  4. 4

    Publication and updates

The article is published with the reviewing doctor's name and review date, and rechecked when guidelines change.

Sign-off tied to the exact text

Each review is bound to a digital fingerprint of the text the doctor reviewed. If a single character changes after sign-off, the approval no longer applies and the article goes back for review — so what you read is exactly what the doctor approved.

Independence and corrections

Advertisers have no influence on our content, and we do not accept paid content disguised as articles. If you spot an error, tell us and we will correct it and update the review date.

Medical advisory board

Certified doctors who oversee our editorial standards and medical policies.

Advisory board members will be announced soon

Each member will be shown here with their name, photo, credentials, university and country.

An international doctor network

We are building a network of Arabic-speaking doctors practising in the Arab world and abroad — because a doctor working in Dublin or Toronto understands the questions of people living abroad, and a doctor in Riyadh or Cairo knows the reality of patients there.

Before any doctor appears on the platform, we verify their licence with the issuing authority, along with their qualifications and workplace. Every doctor has a public profile showing their specialty, languages and the articles they wrote or reviewed.
